Nontando Dludla
Chairman
Ms Dludla is a qualified teacher and taught at schools in KwaZulu-Natal, and worked as a lecturer at the Esikhawini College of Education in Empangeni before she was appointed by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education as Deputy Chief Education Specialist: Teaching and Learning at the Further Education and Training (FET) Unit at the Empangeni District Office. She later joined the University of Zululand’s Department of Education as a contract lecturer, and at the completion of her term joined Akhona Trade & Industry (Akhona) as CEO.
Molefe Seth Phalatse
Seth Phalatse contributes 48 years of corporate and executive management experience in business, international ventures and South African multinationals strategic engagement. He served as an Executive Director at BMW South Africa for 24 years as well as a further 10 years as Non-Executive Director.
Professor Grietjie Verhoef
Professor Verhoef is an emeritus professor at the Department of Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg, who retired in 2022. She worked in the Department of Accountancy since 2009, specialising in Accounting, Economics and Business History. She also held the Adjunct Associate Professor (Research) position at Monash University, Melbourne: from November 2019 to October 2022. Verhoef acted as Chairperson of the Department of Historical Studies from 1999 to 2002, and again from 2005 to 2008; as Director for the South African Accounting History Centre from 2011 to 2017; and as President of the International Economic History Association from 2012 to 2015.
